Crocosaurus Cove

Darwin accommodation

If you are brainstorming about Darwin, then one of the very first things you are likely to list is the crocodile. The best place to meet up with these imposing locals is at Crocosaurus Cove.

There are many different activities of the croccy kind that are offered throughout the day at the Darwin attraction including: big croc feeding and Bite Force crocodile presentation, crocodile fishing, holding a baby croc, fish feeding and nocturnal crocodile feeding. The Cage of Death crocodile swimming experience is not for the faint hearted, but gives you the chance to see the reptiles under the water. This one of a kind experience where you are submerged in a purpose built transparent swimming cage and get to swim with an 18 foot and cranky prehistoric reptile up close and personal in their territory.

Crocosaurus Cove is one of the world’s largest crocodile sanctuaries and they definitely have some gigantic saltwater crocs on display, but there are also other marine animals awaiting you here too. There are more than 100 adult crocodiles, hundreds of fish, 50 turtles and around 80 big lizards for you to meet at the attraction.

If you want to meet the full range of top end reptiles and marine life, then Crocosaurus Cove is the place to go. The kids and adults alike will have a thrilling time hanging out with these snappy locals and come away with a new respect for the prehistoric animals. The attraction is located on Mitchell Street in Darwin city and it is open everyday of the year except Christmas Day.
